| Robi is a Florida native who hails from North Miami Beach, but grew up in Brandon,
Florida. His father worked with many popular bands in the early seventies at a club called "The Hump" on
Miami Beach. At an early age, his parents would take Robi, and his brothers, to see the shows. Sometimes he would come home from school to find a full band rehearsing in the living room. This began an early fascination with the stage, Rock n' Roll, and especially the drums. With three brothers that played trumpet, guitar and bass guitar, Robi focused on the drums. Because their mom gave the boys a dedicated music room, their house was always the house to hang-out and jam at. Many friends with varying styles and capabilities had great influence on Robi. Playing the drums did not come naturally; he had to really work at it, and having good friends and brothers to play with, made the difference between a casual drummer and a determined pro-drummer. Robi saw his first rock concert when he was in the 7th grade. He saw Rush, with Neil Peart on drums, and Pat Travers, with Tommy Aldridge on drums. He was hooked for life. He likes many different styles of music, some of his favorites include Rush, Van Halen, Toto, Yanni, Avenged Sevenfold, 30 Seconds to Mars, Rob Thomas, Matchbox 20, Queensryche and many more. His hobbies are camping, biking, Starbucks and going to concerts with really great seats. Robi has performed throughout the
Tampa
Bay area over the past 18 years with various local bands and joined Blistered in late March 2009. Famous last words "You won't get something for nothing, You can't have freedom for free." Band nickname: "Shadow Warrior" (subject to change without notice). |
